Hi Sachendra,

Nice post, thanks.

To expand on your thoughts, I see Twitter as an phenomenon that has arisen, and gained huge popularity, because it's ostensible value is primarily as an information management system.

People use it to exchange and organize information. It's simple, so it works. Moreover, chaos theory shows us that great complexity can arise from very simple initial conditions. This has been helped by Twitter's open API, that allows developers to create endless apps limited only by imagination.

On a deeper level, I believe that Twitter serves as an expression of collective conscious, a hive mind if you will, or as I prefer, the panconsciousness of humanity. It is still in its embryonic stages, but I see evolution of this type of system to a sophistication and complexity barely imaginable today.

@Sachendra I think you are really onto something with your future app, especially with the cue from Gmail. There are a few apps out today that try to thread conversations as well, but with a lack of "subject" lines to thread on, those conversations can quickly be mixed up.
